How I Get Your Accommodation Website Going

I first will need to discuss with you which existing booking channels you’re using. Once that is figured out, this makes my job much easier! Click the icon below to find out more information about the process.

Analysing Your Site

Maybe you already have accommodation site, maybe you don’t! If you have, I’d do a full analysis on your existing site, and chat with you about whether you’d like to start afresh with a brand new look, or try to integrate the apartments on to your current site.  Within my considerations, I’ll also take the following into account…

Is your website responsive?
Is it search engine friendly?
It is fast enough?

Do you want Direct Bookings?
Can visitors find what they need?
What OTA’s you’re listing with?

If your existing site can be adapted to include apartment/room listings, then I’ll get to work getting things set up for you. If, however, it will be very tricky to set up with your existing platform, I may suggest moving to a brand new system.  Don’t worry, there wouldn’t be any downtime, I’d just develop it in the background for you.

It is important that your website is built with the visitor in mind .- they need to be able to find the apartments they are looking for and contact you (or book) quickly and easily.

SEO is vital!

Each of your apartments or rooms will have it’s own separate page, and these will include all the essentials such as facilities, location, rooms, photos, the amount of bedrooms etc – as these are the type of things people will Google!

Deciding Your Filters

Your apartments may all be room only, or you may also list complete apartments – either way, it is important that your site has a tailored search based on the different criteria your visitors may want to refine by.

Availability Calendars

Once a visitor lands on your website, they need to be able to check the availability of a given apartment (or search all apartments at once!) – this would be synched up with your live channel manager, ensuring 100% accuracy.

Getting The Pricing Right

The Right Price

On Booking.com and through different channel managers such as Tokeet, I know that you can set different rates at different times of year, so I’ll make sure these are reflected on your own website too.

Website “Specials”

I can create website-only “special rates” which will enable to book for a lower fee if they are coming direct. Booking.com take between 15%-18% in commission, so by taking direct bookings, you can afford to lower your price.

Do you ask for users emails when they book? if not, start now, as you can start building a list! I’ll also make your website collect email addresses to, so you can periodically mail out some amazing offers to potential guests.

Coupon Codes

You can offer people money off their stays via coupon codes. These codes can be pumped out to forums like MoneySavingExpert, where people realise that they’re saving money by using it, however – you’re the one who is truly benefitting!
